    MCRU is co-located on level 2west between the Day Oncology Unit and the Day Medical Unit. 

    • 4-bed bay, equipped to handle high risk day medical cases; monitors, resuscitation trolley, IV trolley 
    • A treatment room; IV trolley, exam bed, examination light sphygmomanometer, desk with computer (clinic room 4)
    • 2 clinic rooms set up for outpatient consultations; exam beds/cots, sphygmomanometer, desk with computer (clinic rooms 3, and 5)
    • A drug room; locked drug cupboard including fridge
    • A laboratory
    • Storage room 
    • Kitchenette and waiting room
    • 3 offices (2 small, 1 larger)                     

    All equipment in MCRU is maintained and serviced yearly and there is a central record available on request from the MCRU clinic coordinator. Temperature and maintenance logs are stored on the MCRU MS Teams page and on Florence.

    Laboratory

    There is a dedicated laboratory for processing samples from clinical trials with MCRU. This is equipped with the following.

    • 3 temperature controlled centrifuges
    • A biosafety cabinet
    • A humidifier
    • Centrally monitored -80deg freezer
    • Centrally monitored -20deg freezer
    • Centrally monitored 4deg fridge

     Before staff can use the laboratory space, they must have gone through the local laboratory induction and completed the online biosafety training.
